【摘要】:Thecloudpointtemperatureisareproduciblecharacteristicofcertainpurenonionicsurfactants.Itisalsocharacteristicofcertainnonionicsurfactantformulatedsystems.Thistestmethodisappropriateforbothsystems.Note18212;Ifthetransitionfromadistinctlycloudytoaclearsolutionisnotsharp,thatis,ifitdoesnottakeplacewithinarangeof1x00B0;C,thistestmethodisnotappropriate.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthesolubilityinversiontemperatureor"cloudpoint"ofnonionicsurfactantsordetergentsystemswhicharecharacteristicallylesssolubleinwaterathighertemperaturesthanatlowertemperatures.Itislimitedtothosesurfactantsanddetergentsystemsforwhichthevisiblesolubilitychangeoccursoverarangeof1176;Corlessatconcentrationsof0.5to1.0%inwaterbetween30and95176;C.1.2ChemicalLimitationsNonionicsurfactantsthatexhibitacharacteristiccloudpointingeneraltermsconsistofawater-in-solublemoietycondensedwith50to75%byweightofethyleneoxide.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
