【摘要】:Punctureresistanceisveryimportantinend-useperformanceofstretchwrapfilmusedinconsumerandindustrialproductapplications.Punctureresistanceisameasureoftheenergy-absorbingabilityofastretchwrapfilminresistingaprotrusion.Thetestmethodisdesignedtoprovidetheuserwithameansofmeasuringthestretchwrapfilmrsquo;punctureresistanceperformanceunderessentiallybiaxialdeformationconditions.Abiaxialstressisrepresentativeofthetypeofstressencounteredbystretchwrapproductsinmanyend-useapplications.Althoughthistestmethodcannotbeexpectedtoduplicateallfieldexperiences,sincetherateofspeed,weight,andconfigurationofsuchdestructiveforcesvarywidely,agenerallyreliablecomparisonofsamplesmaybemadefromthedataobtained.1.1Thistestmethoddeterminestheresistanceofastretchwrapfilmtothepenetrationofaprobeatastandardlowrate,asingletestvelocity.Performedatstandardconditions,thetestmethodimpartsabiaxialstressthatisrepresentativeofthetypeofstressencounteredinmanyproductend-useapplications.Themaximumforce,forceatbreak,penetrationdistance,andenergytobreakaredetermined.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
