【摘要】:Thismethodisfordeterminingprimary,secondaryandtertiarymercaptans(thiols)inkerosinesuptoseveralthousandmass-ppm,basedontheprocedurepreviouslysuggestedbyE.Rafii,etal.(1,2).Thelowerlimitofdetectionby119Sn{H}decoupled,refocusedInsensitiveNucleusEnhancementbyPolarizationTransfer(INEPT)NuclearMagneticResonance(NMR)spectroscopywithoutpreconcentrationis40mass-ppmpermercaptantypeinthekerosine.Lowerconcentrationscanbedeterminedusingaspecifieddistillationprocedure.Theonlyknowninterferencesarethiophenolsandbranchedalcohols,suchasisopropylandbutylalcohols(seeNOTE).Themethodreliesuponthequantitativepreparationofsolubletri-n-butyltinderivativesofallofthethiolspresent.
